Move over, Michael Jordan.... here comes Air Wigglebottom!
As most of you already know, the Peanut Boy, Scotty Wigglebottom,
has had surgery for bilateral OCD of the hocks and has already had
one episode of a cruciate ligament strain. Because of this, I'm very
careful about letting him run free. Still, he's very much an active
pup, and from time-to-time, he's just got to have some fun.
Yesterday morning was sunny and cool with a definite hint of Fall in
the air. I took Scotty out for our early morning walk and headed to
a cornfield located down a dirt road in the woods. The corn has all
been chopped and the field is open.
So, I unleashed Scotty and let
him run. He dashed around the field, leaping and galloping, the
picture of pure unbridled joy. We've been working on obedience, and
this was an excellent chance to do some recall work.
I whistled to Scotty and called "Here!" He whirled around and dashed
toward me. As he got close, I praised him loudly, "What a good boy,
Scotty!"
And that's when he did it--a mid-air wiggle! The same exact
total-body wiggle he's famous for, but done in full flight with all
four feet off the ground! What a sight! LOL
He landed gracefully in front of me and gobbled his cookie reward.
Good boy, Scotty!
